THE RACEHORSE

 

Trained by legendary Kiwi horseman Mark Purdon, ADVANCE ATTACK NZ was one of the most outstanding two and three-year-olds of his era in NZ.

He won at his first seven racetrack appearances as a two-year-old highlighted by successes in the $50,000 Welcome Stakes, $30,000 Cardigan Bay Stakes and NZ Sapling Stakes.

ADVANCE ATTACK NZ also captured two $50,000 Sales Graduate Classics and a heat of the NZ Sires Stakes in which he took a two-year-old mark of 1:57.3.

As a two-year-old, he won $142,135 racing against top colts such as Tribute, Badlands Bute and Richard Henry.

As a three-year-old, ADVANCE ATTACK NZ won eight of his 16 starts including the Group 2 NZ Rising Stars Championship, the Group 2 Avon Championship, the Newcastle Guineas, a heat and semi-final of the Breeders Crown and a heat of the NZ Sires Stakes.

To the end of his three-year-old campaign, ADVANCE ATTACK NZ had earned an imposing $263,815 in stake money.

ADVANCE ATTACK NZ later competed with  distinction in open class company in three Australian States, winning the Hamilton Cup twice, Horsham Cup, Wangaratta Cup, and Tasmanian Governor’s Cup.

In all, ADVANCE ATTACK NZ recorded 28 wins and 12 placings from 89 starts for $406,094 in stakes.
